Hungarian PM Orbán To Meet Trump In Florida After Meeting Putin

PALM BEACH, Florida – Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán will meet with former U.S. President Donald J. Trump  on Thursday at Mar-a-Lago in Florida, Bloomberg reported.

Hungary assumed the rotating EU presidency in 2024 and Orbán has been meeting with world leaders recently to broker a peace deal in the Russian-Ukraine war.

Last week, Orbán met with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Moscow,   Chinese President Xi Ping in Beijing, Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskiy in Kyiv.

But western European leaders have been critical of Orbán’s attempts to broker a cease-fire in Ukraine, distinguishing that Orbán doesn’t represent all EU member states, and that he is undermining the efforts of western allies to support Ukraine at the NATO summit.
