MIAMI, Florida – The National Weather Service in Miami forecasts isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms for South Florida today, Tuesday, June 9, 2026, with the highest rain chances over the interior and southern regions during the afternoon and evening hours.
Stronger storms could produce heavy downpours and gusty winds, while the east coast metro corridor from West Palm Beach through Fort Lauderdale to Miami stays mostly dry with only isolated activity possible.

- 37% in Flamingo
- 34% in Immokalee
- 27% in Homestead
- 23% in Palmdale and Naples
- 17% in West Palm Beach
- 15% in Miami
- 13% in Fort Lauderdale and Clewiston
Maximum Heat Index: High humidity will make it feel significantly hotter than the actual air temperatures, with peak heat index values this afternoon reaching as high as 105° in Everglades City, 103° in Naples, and 100° across much of the rest of South Florida including Miami, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, and Flamingo.
