Straus Family Creamery has announced a voluntary recall of certain production runs of its Organic Super Premium Ice Cream due to the potential presence of metal foreign material, the company said Thursday.
The recall affects only specific lots of select flavors and sizes, identified by their “best by” dates printed on the packaging.
The affected products were distributed to retailers in 17 states — Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, New Jersey, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, Washington and Wisconsin — and began appearing on store shelves as early as May 4, 2026.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has been notified of the recall. Straus Family Creamery is working directly with retailers to remove the impacted products from shelves nationwide.
No injuries or illnesses have been reported in connection with the issue.
