Heavy Rainfall, Gusty Winds For South Florida

, Florida – The National Service in is forecasting scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms across much of this afternoon and evening on Sunday, May 3, 2026.

The National Service in Miami is forecasting high rain chances with showers and thunderstorms developing mainly between 12 PM and 8 PM. Cloudy and muggy conditions will persist before the activity ramps up.

The strongest storms could produce heavy rainfall, gusty winds, and frequent lightning. Isolated urban flooding will be possible with the heaviest downpours.

The highest rain chances are along the east coast and in southern areas: 80% West Palm Beach, , Miami, Homestead, and Everglades City; 77% Flamingo; 70% Naples and Immokalee; 64% Clewiston; and 50% Palmdale.
