National Weather Service Rain Chances for Florida on Wednesday, May 27, 2026.
TALLAHASSEE, Florida – The National Weather Service Tallahassee reports that the Flood Watch for the Florida Panhandle, southeast Alabama, and southwest Georgia has expired early this morning. However, the persistent “rain train” pattern continues today and through the weekend, bringing daily rounds of showers and thunderstorms with a high risk of localized flash flooding.
Residents should remain vigilant as saturated soils from recent heavy rains combined with expected new storms today and in the coming days will keep the threat of isolated flash flooding elevated.
NWS meteorologists anticipate additional rainfall of 1 to 3 inches across the affected areas today, with isolated locations possibly receiving higher amounts. Pockets of heavy rainfall and localized flooding remain possible with the strongest storms.
The ongoing wet pattern will bring scattered to numerous showers and storms each day through early next week.
Temperatures are expected to remain in the mid-80s to low 90s Fahrenheit due to persistent cloud cover and rainfall.
