For this afternoon and evening on Monday, April 6, 2026, interior portions of west central and southwest Florida have a marginal risk of heavy rainfall and flooding. Scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms are expected, with the highest chances over the interior and across portions of southwest Florida. Heavy downpours in any stronger storms could lead to localized minor flooding. Afternoon Thunderstorm Outlook The National Weather Service (NWS) Tampa Bay is forecasting an active rainy pattern with showers and thunderstorms this afternoon and evening on Monday, April 6, 2026, particularly across the interior and southwest portions of the Florida peninsula. High temperatures will reach the mid to upper 80s°F under increasing cloud cover. Thunderstorms are most likely during the afternoon and early evening hours.
