WINTER HAVEN, Florida – Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has ordered that flags be flown at half-staff on Friday, April 17, 202, in honor of the passing of Vice Mayor Nancy Metayer.

“To honor the passing of Vice Mayor Nancy Metayer, I hereby direct the flags of the United States and the State of Florida to be flown at half-staff at the State Capitol in Tallahassee, Florida, and all local and state buildings, installations, and grounds throughout the City of Coral Springs from
sunrise to sunset on Friday, April 17, 2026,” DeSantis stated in a Memorandum.
