, Florida – The National Service Tallahassee forecasts rainfall transitioning to possible snow for Southeast Alabama, Southwest Georgia, and the Florida starting today, Saturday, January 17, 2026.

According to the National Weather Service Tallahassee, showers are likely today and tonight, with rain overspreading the region Saturday evening into Sunday morning. As a strong cold front moves through, a brief rain/snow mix or all snow is possible Sunday morning, particularly in southwest Georgia and southeast Alabama.

Snow probabilities have increased to 30-60% in affected areas, but accumulations are expected to be trace amounts on grassy surfaces due to warm ground temperatures. No significant impacts are anticipated, with temperatures recovering to the mid to upper 40s Sunday afternoon.
