
ORLANDO, Florida – McCain Foods USA Inc. has initiated a voluntary Class II recall of frozen tater tots due to potential contamination with clear, hard plastic fragments, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The recall affects approximately 38,853 cases and was classified by the FDA on January 6, 2026. No illnesses have been reported.

Batch codes for Sysco Imperial: 1005482717, 1005483735, 1005484702, 1005485462, 1005485660; production dates 11505 R, 11605 R, 11705 R, 11805 R (October 2025, Burley plant).
WFLA reported that he products were distributed to 26 states: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Hawaii, Iowa, Idaho, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, Nevada, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Washington, and Wisconsin.
