A ticket sold in Arkansas matched all six numbers in the December 24, 2025, Powerball drawing to win the jackpot. With final ticket sales, the Powerball jackpot reached $1.817 billion, making it the second-largest U.S. lottery jackpot ever won, with a cash option of $834.9 million.

Eight tickets sold in California, Indiana, Michigan, New York (two), Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Virginia won $1 million each by matching all five white balls. The two winning tickets in New York were sold at Smiley’s Stop N Shop, 17 W Main St., Sidney (Delaware County) and Montauk Hwy Gas Corp, 571 West Montauk Hwy., Lindenhurst (Suffolk County). The winning Michigan ticket was sold at a Kroger supermarket  located at 10059 E. Highland Road in Howell. The winning California ticket was sold at 7-Eleven, 4092 Chino Hills Parkway, Chino Hills, CA 91709. Pari-mutuel amount: $1,700,000,000.

No tickets with Power Play hit the five white balls for the $2 million prize. Meanwhile, 114 tickets matched four white balls plus the Powerball, earning $50,000 each, with 31 tickets boosted to $100,000 thanks to the 2X multiplier.
