TALLAHASSEE, Florida – The National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center issued a severe weather outlook for the Florida Panhandle and Florida Big Bend due to a Marginal Risk (Level 1 of 5) of strong to severe thunderstorms on Sunday, October 26, 2025.
According to the National Weather Service Tallahassee, isolated showers and thunderstorms ahead of a cold front will impact the area from Sunday evening into early Monday.
The primary hazards are gusty (locally damaging) winds. A brief tornado or two can’t be ruled out, especially near the coast. Heavy rain may also lead to scattered instances of flash flooding, especially in urban and poor drainage areas.

The rain and cloud coverage will bring some much needed relief to the Florida Panhandle from the warm conditions this week.
Heat indices across the Florida Panhandle will drop from the upper 80s on Saturday to lower 80s on Sunday.
