JACKSONVILLE, Florida – The National Weather Service in Jacksonville has issued a forecast for North Florida predicting waves of heavy rain and thunderstorms through Monday, October 6, 2025, with risks of localized flooding and minor to moderate coastal flooding, especially along the Atlantic coast and St. Johns River basin.
According to NWS Jacksonville, Coastal Flood Warnings and Advisories remain in effect through the weekend and next week along the Atlantic coast and St. Johns River basin.
Dangerous marine and beach conditions persist, with heavy downpours forecast on Sunday and Monday. 2-4 inch rainfall totals expected along the northeast FL coast and St. Johns River, with locally higher amounts possible. Minor to moderate tidal flooding around astronomical high tides due to October’s full moon.
No active severe weather watches, but high rip current risk, high surf advisory, and small craft advisory in effect.
Storms will continue to develop, with heavy downpours expected, bringing localized flood risk through early next week.
