National Weather Service Jacksonville rain and temperature forecast for North Florida
JACKSONVILLE, Florida – The National Weather Service in Jacksonville has issued a forecast for North Florida predicting waves of heavy rain and thunderstorms through today, Wednesday, September 10, 2025, with risks of localized flash flooding and minor coastal flooding, especially along the I-95 corridor and beaches. Strong northeasterly winds are expected to ramp up again this weekend.
According to NWS Jacksonville, waves of rain continue through today, with marginal risk of flash flooding. Minor coastal flooding during high tides is expected through mid-week. No active severe weather watches or warnings at this time, but special weather statements for heavy rain in coastal areas. Breezy northeast winds with gusts up to 21 mph today. After a brief lull, strong northeasterly winds ramp up again this weekend, bringing high surf, tidal flooding, and dangerous rip currents.
