Florida Man Buys $2 Million Powerball Ticket

PORT SAINT LUCIE, Florida – The Florida Lottery announced that Charles Simpkins, of Port St. Lucie, claimed a $2 million prize from the POWERBALL drawing held on May 31, 2025, at the Lottery’s Headquarters in Tallahassee.

The winning POWERBALL ticket matched all five of the white ball numbers but did not match the Power Ball number.

The Saint Lucie County man chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $2,000,000.00.

Simpkins purchased his $2 million-winning POWERBALL with Power Play Quick-Pick ticket from Peacock Liquor, located at 270 N.W. Peacock Boulevard in Port St. Lucie.
