TAMPA BAY, Florida – The National Weather Service (NWS) Tampa Bay has issued a forecast for west Central Florida and Southwest Florida on Tuesday, September 02, 2025, forecasting scattered showers and thunderstorms mainly in the afternoon with highs ranging from the upper 80s to lower 90s across the region.
The forecast has trended a bit drier, however scattered storms are expected to develop, mainly interior and along/south of Interstate 4. Rain chances vary from 30% in coastal areas like Tampa and Sarasota to 50% in interior areas like Lakeland.
The forecast covers areas such as Tampa, St. Petersburg, Sarasota, and Fort Myers.
