The east coast sea breeze will focus areas of heavy rainfall and some strong storms near the I-95 corridor this mid-afternoon through mid-evening. Stronger storms over southeast Georgia and portions of northeast Florida will be capable of producing: Damaging wind gusts around 35-50 mph capable of impacting structures and trees. Frequent lightning. Heavy downpours, which may lead to localized flooding, mainly in urban areas. North Florida cities at risk for strong thunderstorms include inland and coastal regions, with specific cities in the shaded area such as: Jacksonville Jacksonville Beach St. Augustine Palm Coast Additionally, heavy downpours on already-saturated ground increases the risk for flooding, especially in urban areas.
