MIAMI, FL — The National Weather Service in Miami has issued a forecast of scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms with a high rain chance across South Florida from late this morning through the afternoon, Friday, August 8, 2025, shifting to the interior and Gulf coast.

A few storms may become strong this afternoon, capable of producing damaging winds and heavy downpours. Excessive rainfall could lead to localized urban and poor drainage flooding.

Temperatures will reach the low to mid 90s, with high humidity amplifying heat indices to the low 100s.
