Residents are urged to drive with caution as the region faces another round of intense weather, with rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches expected in many areas, and a less likely scenario of slow-moving storms dropping 1-3 inches in isolated spots.

Flooding threats remain localized, particularly in East coast metro areas and around Naples, where recent saturation from earlier rains could exacerbate conditions.

A map of the most likely rain amounts over the next 12 hours shows varying intensities, with Naples and Immokalee facing the heaviest concentrations.

Rainfall chances today are high, with Miami at 68%, Fort Lauderdale at 76%, West Palm Beach at 90%, and Naples at 88%, according to the NWS.

The National Weather Service warns that flooding is possible in urban areas and regions with poor drainage.

Residents in flood-prone areas are urged to monitor weather updates and be prepared to take action if flooding develops.
