SARASOTA, Florida – The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) arrested a Florida man for allegedly robbing the same bank twice in Sarasota.
Thr two bank robberies, occurred on June 20 and July 19, at USF Credit Union located at 3487 Clark Road.
On June 20 at 12:04 p.m., a male entered the bank and demanded money from a teller. He then left the business and ran towards Bronx Avenue. No one was injured and an undisclosed amount of money was taken.
On July 18 at 2:40 p.m., a male, resembling the prior robbery suspect, entered the bank and demanded money from a teller. He then left the business and ran towards Bronx Avenue. No one was injured and an undisclosed amount of money was taken.
Through further investigation, 25-year-old Christopher A. Borchardt of Sarasota was identified as a person of interest. SCSO executed a search warrant for the residence and then arrested the suspect and charged him with two counts of robbery.
