MIAMI, Florida – The National Weather Service (NWS) Miami has issued a forecast for potential strong thunderstorms across South Florida on Wednesday, June 25, 2025.

Thunderstorms For South Florida

According to the National Weather Service in Miami, the showers and thunderstorms will initially favor the east coast this morning before shifting westward to interior and west coast areas in the afternoon.

Stronger thunderstorms may produce:

• Gusty winds, with isolated severe winds in Southwest Florida
• Heavy downpours
• Small hail
• Frequent cloud-to-ground lightning strikes that are deadly to people and pets who remain outside.

Rain chances range from 66% to 76%, with the highest probabilities in Everglades City (76%) and the lowest in Naples and West Palmdale (66%):
