JACKSONVILLE, Florida – The National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center has issued a severe weather outlook for North Florida, due to a Marginal Risk (Level 1 of 5) of strong to severe thunderstorms on Wednesday, June 25, 2025.
According to NWS Jacksonville, strong to isolated severe thunderstorms will be possible this afternoon and evening.

A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 94. Heat index values as high as 100. Light and variable wind becoming east 6 to 11 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 17 mph.
Wednesday Night
A 20 percent chance of showers after 2am. Mostly clear, with a low around 75. Southeast wind 6 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
Thursday
A slight chance of showers before 8am, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2pm. Sunny, with a high near 92. Light and variable wind becoming east 5 to 10 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 16 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%.
Thursday Night
A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 11pm, then a slight chance of showers between 11pm and 2am. Mostly clear, with a low around 75. Southeast wind 5 to 9 mph becoming light south after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
