JACKSONVILLE, Florida – The National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center has issued a severe weather outlook for North Florida, due to the risk of severe thunderstorms across North Florida on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday June 8-10, 2025. [caption id="attachment_8034" align="aligncenter" width="1920"] National Weather Service Jacksonville Severe Weather Forecast for North Florida Sunday, June 8, 2025 through Tuesday, June 10, 2025[/caption] According to NWS Jacksonville, the severe storm risk will increase into this weekend mainly for areas north of I-10, with stronger storms developing in the afternoon and evening timeframe. Stronger storms will be capable of producing: Damaging winds (40-60 mph), capable of impacting structures and trees. Heavy downpours, which may lead to localized flooding in areas already saturated from recent rainfall. Hail is possible with stronger storms. Frequent lightning strikes, which may be fatal to people and pets who remain outside.
