MIAMI, FL — The National Weather Service in Miami has issued a Flood Watch for portions of southeast and southwest Florida, effective through Wednesday morning, June 4, 2025.
The watch covers Coastal and Metro Broward, Miami-Dade, Collier, and Mainland Monroe counties, including cities such as Fort Lauderdale, Miami, Naples, and Marco Island.
A developing area of low pressure is expected to bring additional rounds of heavy rainfall across South Florida today, following widespread rainfall of 2 to 4 inches on Monday, with some areas receiving up to 8 inches.
Similar rainfall amounts are anticipated today, raising concerns about localized flash flooding, particularly in areas already saturated from yesterday’s downpours.
The National Weather Service warns that flooding is possible in urban areas and regions with poor drainage.
Residents in flood-prone areas are urged to monitor weather updates and be prepared to take action if flooding develops.
