Woman Found Dead After Shooting In Venice

VENICE, Florida — The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a homicide on the 300 block of Cowry Road in Venice.

At approximately 11:36 p.m. last night, April 30, deputies responded to the 300 block of Cowry Road in reference to a shooting. Once at the residence, deputies found the female victim, Leanna M. Leach, deceased.
