ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. — A confirmed tornado touched down in St. Johns County during a severe storm on Thursday, May 29, 2025. The twister was captured by a traffic camera at the intersection of State Road 9B and St. Johns Parkway. The footage, shared by the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office, shows the tornado forming in the upper right corner, The storm, which swept through Northeast Florida, caused no injuries but left a trail of destruction, including downed trees and power lines.
