Heavy Rain, Gusty Winds For South Florida

MIAMI, Florida – A period of active weather kicked off across South Florida on Saturday, May 31, 2025, bringing showers and scattered strong to severe thunderstorms to the region.

According to the National Weather Service in Miami, the greatest likelihood of heavy showers and thunderstorms is expected north of Alligator Alley (I-75), where rain chances are as high as 72% in areas like Palmdale, Clewiston, and West Palm Beach.

High temperatures are expected to reach the low to mid-90s but feels like temperatures will hit triple digits.

Heavy Rainfall This Weekend

According to NWS Miami, an unsettled weather pattern is ahead for South Florida as a weak frontal boundary is forecast to stall across the region this weekend into early next week.

Heavy rainfall and daily afternoon storms will be possible, especially across the east coast metro area.
