The Suwannee County man chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $1,647,453.00.
Larson purchased his jackpot-winning FLORIDA LOTTO ticket from Murphy USA, located at 2659 W. U.S. Hwy. 90 in Lake City.
The retailer received a bonus commission of $25,000 for selling the winning ticket.
The winning numbers were 7, 25, 32, 34, 40, and 49, securing the top prize for Larson in this Columbia County city, roughly 60 miles west of Jacksonville.
The odds of winning the Florida Lotto jackpot are 1 in 22,957,480. The game’s overall odds are 1 in 7.61.
25% of all Florida Lottery proceeds goes to K-12 education and Bright Futures scholarships, according to the Florida Lottery.
67% goes to prize payouts. The remaining 8% goes to retailers, vending, and administration.
