Tavernier, FL – A fire erupted in the early hours of Wednesday morning at Unique Marine boat yard in Tavernier, damaging at least four boats but causing no reported injuries, according to authorities.

The blaze was reported at approximately 2:35 AM EDT, prompting a response from local firefighters.

Images shared by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office showed intense flames and thick smoke billowing from the boat yard, with multiple vessels engulfed in fire.

Firefighters were seen battling the blaze under the cover of darkness, working to contain the spread in a dry-dock area where the boats were stored.

Located just south of Key Largo along U.S. 1, Unique Marine specializes in brands like World Cat, Sportsman, and Bennington.
