Fatal Crash On I-4 Westbound in Volusia County

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. — A fatal crash on Interstate 4 (I-4) westbound has caused traffic delays in Volusia County on May 12, 2025.

The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) reported the incident at mile marker (MM) 125, with traffic backed up beyond MM 128 as of the last update at 12:19 PM EDT.

The crash has blocked the two left lanes of I-4 westbound. A Road Ranger is on the scene.

FHP advises drivers to move over or slow down as required by Florida’s Move Over law when approaching emergency vehicles.

The incident occurred near Daytona Beach. Drivers should expect delays and use caution in the area.
