NEWARK, New Jersey – A Cash4Life ticket sold in New Jersey won the top prize in the Wednesday, May 14, 2025, drawing, according to the Florida Lottery. The ticket matched all five numbers—02, 16, 30, 42, 55—and the Cash Ball, 03, winning $1,000 a day for life.
The drawing had no winners for the second-tier prize of $1,000 a week for life.
The fortunate winner now faces a life-altering decision: accept the daily payments, which amount to $365,000 annually for life (guaranteed for a minimum of 20 years), or choose a one-time lump-sum payment of $7 million.
In the May 14 drawing, there were 12,297 total winners. Prize levels included: 1 winner of $1,000 a day for life; 0 winners of $1,000 a week for life; 1 winner of $2,500 (4-of-5 + Cash Ball); 3 winners of $500 (4-of-5); 57 winners of $100 (3-of-5 + Cash Ball); 157 winners of $25 (3-of-5); 1,198 winners of $10 (2-of-5 + Cash Ball); 3,174 winners of $4 (2-of-5); and 7,707 winners of a free ticket (1-of-5 + Cash Ball).
Cash4Life is played in 10 states: Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Maryland, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Virginia. Drawings occur daily at 9:00 p.m. ET, with tickets costing $2.
The odds of winning the top prize are 1 in 21,846,048, and the overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 8.
The winner has 180 days to claim the prize and can choose between daily payments or the lump sum. New Jersey law allows lottery winners to remain anonymous.
