Traveling Burglar Arrested In Martin County Publix Parking Lot

MARTIN COUNTY, Fla. — Martin County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) arrested 41-year-old Boynton Beach resident Luis Manuel Fuentes for allegedly targeting vehicles in a Publix supermarket parking lot.

In late March, Fuentes allegedly stole a purse and items worth over $900 from a vehicle.

Detectives later identified him through his vehicle and history of pawning stolen goods.

Anticipating his return, MCSO surveilled Fuentes. During his next attempt, detectives watched him observe customers in the Publix parking lot and try to break into another vehicle.

When he attempted to flee the scene, they apprehended him.

Investigators say that Fuentes confessed to the burglaries.

Detectives charged him with burglary to an unoccupied conveyance, grand theft, and attempted burglary.

He remains in Martin County Jail on a $15,000 bond with an ICE hold.
