National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center Severe Weather Outlook for Florida April 6, 2025
TALLAHASSEE, Florida – Another breezy afternoon is in store Sunday ahead of a cold front moving through the Florida Panhandle Monday morning.
Ahead of this front, isolated showers and storms could develop this afternoon and evening. A few of these could be severe containing a damaging wind gust and/or a few brief tornadoes across the Florida Panhandle and Big Bend area on Sunday, April 6, 2025, according to the National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center.
According to the National Weather Service Tallahassee, the severe threat lessens overnight as the cold front nears.
By daybreak Monday, and through the morning, additional showers and thunderstorms could form. These storms will also bring the potential for severe weather in the form of damaging wind gusts and/or a few brief tornadoes.
Beneficial rains are expected with this front, generally around 1 to 2 inches.
Highs will reach the high 70s along the coast to the mid-80s farther inland.
