OCALA, Florida – The National Weather Service (NWS) in Jacksonville issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Marion County, Florida, on Monday, April 28, 2025, that remains in effect until 5:30 PM EDT.

According to the NWS, the storm poses multiple threats, including wind speeds of up to 60 miles per hour (mph) and hail approximately the size of a penny. While the likelihood of a tornado is considered low, the possibility has not been ruled out.
