Florida Man Spray Paints Sheriff’s Deputy’s Patrol Car

SARASOTA, Fla. — A 32-year-old Florida man, Jose Alejandro Rodriguez, was arrested on April 21, 2025, after allegedly vandalizing a 7-Eleven store and a Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office patrol car with graffiti.

The incidents, captured on surveillance footage, occurred in Sarasota County.

Rodriguez faces one felony and one misdemeanor count of criminal mischief.

“Turns out, this 32-year-old Picasso took ‘artistic expression’ a bit too seriously – vandalizing a 7-Eleven and a sheriff’s office patrol car with graffiti,” the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office posted on Facebook.

“Caught on camera, he was painting the town red (and maybe some other colors), but now he’s trading in spray cans for handcuffs.”
