BRADENTON, Florida – The Florida Lottery announced that Ramon Torres, 69, of Bradenton, claimed a $1 million top prize from the DOUBLE YOUR MONEY Scratch-Off game at Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee.
The Manatee County man chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $605,016.40.
Torres purchased his winning ticket from Cottage Mini Mart located at 6123 26th Street West in Bradenton.
The retailer received a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.
The DOUBLE YOUR MONEY $5 Scratch-Off game offers more than $51.8 million in cash prizes, including four top prizes of $1 million.
The game’s overall odds of winning are 1-in-5.67.
Scratch-Off games are an important part of the Lottery’s portfolio of games, comprising approximately 74 percent of ticket sales in fiscal year 2023-2024.
Since inception, Scratch-Off games have awarded more than $65.5 billion in prizes, created 2,283 millionaires, and generated more than $19.80 billion for the state’s Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF).
