TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) announced the addition of a 2023 Chevrolet Corvette C8 Stingray to its fleet.
The vehicle will be used to support FHP’s mission of ensuring road safety and will appear at educational outreach events.
The Corvette features a 6.2L V8 engine with 490 horsepower and can accelerate from 0-60 mph in approximately 2.9 seconds.
It is painted in FHP’s black-and-tan color scheme, with “STATE TROOPER” decals in yellow, blue emergency lights, and FHP insignia.
The car was seized in collaboration with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Task Force and was not purchased with state funds.
