, Fla. — On April 17, 2025, the MICHELIN Guide announced its expanded 2025 Florida selection, highlighting one new Two MICHELIN Star restaurant and four new One MICHELIN Star restaurants at a ceremony held at the Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt World Resort.

The announcement demonstrates Florida’s growing status as a global culinary hub, with 31 restaurants earning Stars and 172 establishments, spanning 39 cuisine types, recognized across Stars, Bib Gourmands, and recommended categories.

Sorekara in Orlando Earns Two MICHELIN Stars

Sorekara, a Japanese restaurant in Orlando’s Baldwin Park, secured Two MICHELIN Stars for its innovative approach to dining. Chef William Shen’s tasting menu, inspired by Japan’s 72 micro seasons, features creative dishes like a playful convenience store snack course and a unique “nigiri.” Open for one seating a few nights a week, Sorekara offers an elegant experience with dishes such as madai and Hokkaido-sourced kegani. “In a world of uniformity, Sorekara proudly forges its own path,” noted MICHELIN.

Four New One MICHELIN Star Restaurants

The 2025 selection welcomed four restaurants to the One MICHELIN Star rank:

  • Chef’s Counter at MAASS (, Contemporary cuisine): At the Four Seasons Fort Lauderdale, this counter offers a tasting menu under Chef David Brito, guided by Chef Ryan Ratino. French techniques and Japanese ingredients shine in dishes like a seared diver scallop over truffle puree and a refined chicken noodle soup, ending with kakigori featuring candied nuts and raspberries.
  • Itamae Ao (, Peruvian/Japanese cuisine): Chef Nando Chang’s 10-seat counter in Midtown elevates Nikkei cuisine with bold flavors. The tasting menu includes lobster bisque with sweet potato gnocchi and creamy rice with Hokkaido scallops, using fish flown in from Japan, some dry-aged.
  • Konro (West Palm Beach, Contemporary cuisine): Chef Jacob Bickelhaupt and sommelier Nadia Bickelhaupt lead this intimate counter, serving umami-rich dishes like foie gras mousse in a chicken-skin cone and barley risotto with black truffle shavings. A coconut and passion fruit sherbet closes the meal.
  • Ômo by Jônt (Orlando, Contemporary cuisine): In Winter Park, this offshoot of Chef Ryan Ratino’s D.C. restaurant Jônt combines French techniques, Japanese ingredients, and Florida touches. Chef Mike Commins’ tasting menus feature chawanmushi with braised sweet potato and a dual-preparation scallop, concluding with chocolate and hazelnut kakigori.

Green Stars and Expanded Reach

Miami’s EntreNos and Stubborn Seed received MICHELIN Green Stars for sustainable gastronomy. The 2025 Guide expanded to three new cities, broadening Florida’s culinary recognition.

“Florida has proven to be an international culinary destination,” said Gwendal Poullennec, International Director of the MICHELIN Guides. “Our anonymous Inspectors continued to be delighted by Florida’s culinary community, and we congratulate all of the chefs and restaurants being honored in this year’s selection.”

The full 2025 MICHELIN Guide Florida selection, including Inspector notes, is available on the MICHELIN Guide website and mobile app. Florida’s dining scene continues to impress with its innovation and talent.
