SR-408 Eastbound in Orange County Reopen After Fatal Crash

8:15 a.m. UPDATE: The off ramp to exit 21 (Alafaya Trail) is open. Traffic is exiting onto Alafaya Trail. Eastbound SR-408 still shut down.

ORLANDO, Florida – A fatal crash that occurred at 3:18 a.m. on Sunday, April 27, 2025, on State Road 408 eastbound at mile marker 21 near Alafaya Trail has resulted in a full closure of the highway, according to a traffic alert from the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) Orlando.

As of 8 a.m., traffic is being diverted off at exit 20 (Rouse Road), and drivers are advised to use caution and find alternate routes.
