Both Disney World Water Parks To Open At Same Time Since 2019

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Florida – For the first time since 2019, will have all 6 parks—all 4 and 2 water parks—open at the same time.

From May 21 through September 7, World guests can enjoy the tropical shipwreck oasis of Typhoon Lagoon and the frosty fun of Blizzard Beach water park, according to Disney Parks Blog.

Before the summer starts, Blizzard Beach will temporarily close between May 1 and May 20.

Free Admission To Water Parks For Resort Guests

Walt Disney World Resort guests receive free admission to both water parks on their arrival day in 2025.

First Time All 6 Disney World Parks Open Since COVID-19 Pandemic

All four Disney World theme parks and both water parks shut down indefinitely in March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The theme parks began a phased reopening on July 11, 2020, starting with Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Animal Kingdom, followed by EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios on July 15. The water parks, however, stayed closed much longer—Typhoon Lagoon didn’t reopen until March 2021, and Blizzard Beach followed later.
During this period, it was rare for all six parks to be operational simultaneously due to reduced capacity, staffing challenges, and shifting guest demand.
Since then, Disney has adopted a strategy of alternating water park operations. Typically, only one water park is open at a time, allowing for annual maintenance and refurbishments during off-peak seasons.
