Anti-Trump, Musk “Hands Off” April 5 Protests Across Florida

A group called “Hands Off!” has scheduled 45 rallies across Florida on Saturday, April 5, 2025, as part of a nationwide series of protests.

On April 5, 2025, over 1,200 ‘Hands Off!’ protests are taking place across all 50 states in the United States. These events are organized by a coalition of nearly 200 groups. The protests are anticipated to be the largest single-day demonstration since Trump took office, with over 250,000 people having RSVP’d to attend.

The April 5 protests are over policies linked to President Donald Trump, Elon Musk, and D.O.G.E., which the organizers claim threaten government services and democratic processes.

The rallies will take place in cities across Florida from Pensacola to Key West, with participants gathering at public sites.

The “Hands Off!” movement describes its actions as a response to what it calls a “power grab” by influential figures, alleging impacts on Social Security, Medicare, and consumer protections.

The group’s website, handsoff2025.com, states, “On April 5th, we take action. Across the country, thousands of people will march, rally, disrupt, and demand an end to this billionaire power grab. We’ll show up at state capitals, federal buildings, congressional offices, and city centers—anywhere we can make sure they hear us.”

Despite a string of violent acts and vandalism against TESLA dealerships and vehicles nationwide, the events are planned to be nonviolent, with organizers asking attendees to avoid weapons and de-escalate any potential conflicts.

“Soros-funded Indivisible is openly admitting they are behind the 1300 paid protests happening today in all 50 states. Democrat billionaires are funding these uprisings and they should held legally accountable for the violence and vandalism,” the @amuse account posted on X, to which Elon Musk replied, “They will be.”

Purpose of the April 5 Protests

According to “Hands Off!” materials, the rallies focus on policies the group says favor wealthy individuals over the general public. Specific issues include alleged plans to cut funding for social programs, reduce oversight of financial institutions, and limit rights for various communities, such as transgender and immigrants.
