CALLAHAN, Fla. — The Nassau County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of Nathaniel James, a suspected member of the notorious “Miami Boys” drug trafficking organization, on Sunday, March 30, 2025.
James, known by the aliases “Bo Dilley” and “Bo Didley,” was apprehended during a traffic stop on US Highway 1 in Callahan, following an out-of-county warrant issued by Duval County.
The “Miami Boys,” a drug trafficking network that emerged in the 1980s, operated extensively across Florida and Georgia, playing a major role in the illicit drug trade during its heyday.
The arrest follows a months-long investigation launched by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) in October 2023.
According to investigators, intelligence gathered at the time revealed that James was shuttling between Florida and Georgia, delivering substantial quantities of cocaine and fentanyl to Jacksonville. The investigation gained traction after James allegedly sold narcotics to a confidential source in Duval County, with a subsequent controlled purchase testing positive for fentanyl. Probable cause was established, linking James to trafficking at least 28 grams of fentanyl and 200 grams of cocaine.
A warrant for his arrest was issued on November 15, 2024, culminating in his capture this week. Sheriff Bill Leeper praised the operation, stating, “This arrest represents a significant blow to drug trafficking operations in our region. The dedication of our deputies and their collaboration with our federal partners demonstrate our commitment to getting dangerous drugs off the streets and holding repeat offenders accountable.”
Currently, James is being held on a $1 million bond.
