Severe Thunderstorm Watch For North Florida

JACKSONVILLE, Florida – The National Weather Service (NWS) Storm Prediction Center has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch, effective as of 3:15 AM EST on Wednesday, March 5, 2025. The watch will remain in effect until 10:00 AM EST, covering several counties across northern Florida.

The affected Florida counties include Baker, Columbia, Duval, Hamilton, Jefferson, Lafayette, Madison, Nassau, Suwannee, and Taylor.

Residents in these areas are urged to stay vigilant as potentially dangerous weather conditions are expected to develop throughout the morning.

According to the NWS Jacksonville, the severe thunderstorm watch brings the threat of strong winds with gusts reaching up to 70 miles per hour, capable of causing damage to trees, power lines, and structures.
