TALLAHASSEE Florida – Isolated severe thunderstorms are possible, and there is a Marginal Risk (Level 1 of 5) of severe thunderstorms, across the Florida Panhandle and Big Bend area on Monday, March 24, 2025, according to the National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center.
A morning round of strong thunderstorms should sweep eastward across the region. The storms will weaken and fade late in the morning.
Once the atmosphere has had several hours to recover from the morning round of storms, a new round of strong thunderstorms could fire off during the afternoon, lasting into the early evening.
According to the National Weather Service Tallahassee, development of a second round will depend on how well the atmosphere can recover after the morning round. If the second round can develop, it should be focused a bit further south than the morning round.
