Florida Missing Child Alert Canceled: Jewel Blackwell Found Safe

UPDATE: Jewel Blackwell has been found safe.

TAMPA, Florida – Authorities have issued a Florida Missing Child Alert for 16-year-old Jewel Blackwell, who was reported missing on February 27, 2025.

Jewel was last seen in the area of the 6000 block of Gibson Avenue in Tampa.

Jewel is described as a Black female with black hair and brown eyes. She stands at 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighs approximately 245 pounds.

At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing a grey sweater and grey sweatpants.

Distinctive features include two nose piercings and a lip piercing.

Investigators believe Jewel may be traveling in the South Florida area.
