PORT ORANGE, Florida – The Florida Lottery announced that John Eichinger Jr., 53, of Port Orange, claimed a $15 million top prize from the $15,000,000 GOLD RUSH MULTIPLIER Scratch-Off game at Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee.
The Volusia County man chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $8,968,000.00.
Eichinger turned $30 into $15 million when he purchased his winning ticket from Wawa, located at 1031 Dunlawton Avenue in Port Orange.
The retailer received a $30,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.
The $30 Scratch-Off game, $15,000,000 GOLD RUSH MULTIPLIER, launched in September and features four top prizes of $15 million and six prizes of $1 million.
The game’s overall odds of winning are 1-in-2.60.
