FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. — A coordinated effort by multiple fire rescue teams successfully contained a 40-acre wildfire in the Flagler Estates area near Kelly Street on Sunday, March 30, 2025.
The blaze, which ignited on Saturday, was battled by Flagler County Fire Rescue units—including A51, T51, R51, A16, FireFlight, the FCFR Wildfire team, and command units Bat 50 and Bat 108—alongside support from Putnam County Fire Rescue, St. Johns County Fire Rescue, and the Florida Forest Service.
On Sunday morning, FCFR reported the fire was 100% contained. Despite this progress, crews remain on the scene to monitor the area and prevent any rekindling of the flames.
Authorities have advised that smoke will linger in the vicinity for the foreseeable future.
