MIAMI, Florida – Another warm day ahead for South Florida as a weakening frontal boundary stalls out to the north. Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms could develop this afternoon across South Florida, especially around the Lake Okeechobee region on Valentine’s Day, Friday, February 14, 2025, according to the National Weather Service in Miami.
The National Weather Service in Miami has issued a Moderate Rip Current Risk that is in effect for Miami-Dade, Palm Beach, and Broward counties.

The risk of rip currents will increase across the Atlantic Coast beaches over the upcoming weekend as onshore flow increases and a swell develops in the Atlantic waters.
A period of hazardous marine conditions may develop across the Atlantic waters late Saturday into Sunday with increasing winds and. seas as a cold front approaches the region from the north.
