Son Charged With Killing Mom In North Florida

 

JACKSONVILLE, Florida – A 20-year-old man has been arrested and charged with murder and kidnapping after authorities say he killed his mother following an argument.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office responded to an apartment complex on Arlington Expressway on Thursday after receiving reports of a domestic dispute. When officers arrived, they discovered 48-year-old Dulce Maria Martinez Guash unresponsive inside the residence. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Homicide detectives quickly launched an investigation in to the matricide, leading to the arrest of the victim’s son, Adiel Marquez Gonzalez. He was taken into custody and charged with murder and kidnapping.

Gonzalez is currently being held at the Duval County Jail.
