New York Woman Buys $1 Million Florida Scratch-Off Ticket
DEERFIELD BEACH, Florida - The Florida Lottery announced that Lynn Lamanno, 58, of Sayville, New York, claimed a $1 million top prize from the MILLIONAIRE MAKER Scratch-Off game at the Lottery's West Palm Beach District Office.
The New York woman chose to receive her winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $640,000.
Lamanno turned $5 into $1 million when she purchased her winning ticket from Wawa, located at 20 Southwest 12th Avenue in Deerfield Beach.
The retailer received a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.
The $5 Scratch-Off game, MILLIONAIRE MAKER, launched in May and features more than 5.7 million winning tickets, including six top prizes of $1 million.
The game's overall odds are 1-in-3.87.
