James Uthmeier Sworn In As Florida Attorney General

, Florida  –  James Uthmeier was sworn in as Florida’s Attorney General during a ceremony in Tallahassee on February 17, 2025, where he was described by as a “bulldog” for his combative approach in previous roles.

Uthmeier, previously DeSantis’s chief of staff, was appointed to replace former Attorney General Ashley Moody, who moved to the U.S. Senate after Marco Rubio’s appointment as Secretary of State by President .
